I really like the theme you chose for your webpage. The map itself is really cool too, I like that you switched the icons to wolves/moose. I think the idea of using this kind of visualization to see where to focus efforts for animal preservation is a solid point and pretty good example for how humanities would use this data/
Creating an interactive map of moose and wolf sightings in North America from the iNaturalist database is quite an interesting project! It’s great that you used OpenRefine to standardize location data, in hindsight I probably should have done the same. Also, the ability to click on each point for more information is an excellent feature, making it much more user-friendly and informative.
Amzing job! The interactive capabilities with your map such as being able to view what kind of animal each figure is by clicking on the animal makes this project extremely readable and engaging. The modifications to the WordPress appearances is also very clean and engaging! The only suggestion I have is maybe adding a legend for the wolves and moose; which is not necessarily needed as the figures can be further observed and identified. Great job.
