Starting this assignment I was excited because I haven’t worked with 3D modeling since high school and I always found it fun. Which means coming into this I had some skills that I could utilize. Starting out, I thought the general base of the water bottle was going to be easy. I found out I was right, it was. Then I got to the handle part and I floundered a bit. I spent a while working on a handle that I would scrap only to come up with a brilliant idea that I found to be a lot easier than what I was doing before. The only compromise that I really had to make was with the seams. I didn’t know how to add the seams in a way that seems realistic enough without going through the whole bottle. As for humanistic uses, this object represents something that is prevalent on college campuses at the moment. There has been a push for people to be hydrated and water bottles are just the way that people have been addressing the issues.

A tip! Work slower than faster, doing things one at a time. If you want things to be even, use the constraint tool in the sketch mode by constraining everything that you want even.
I’m really impressed with the strap for your water bottle; trying to make straps is what made me switch my object for this assignment. Also, I didn’t use the constraint tool, but I’m sure it would have helped my process a lot.
